Job summary

ConocoPhillips is offering a 2025 internship program across Alaska, Lower 48, and Global Technical Function organizations. Interns will join established engineering and operations teams, work on real projects, and receive technical mentorship and professional development.

Phase 1 internships target students with two summers before graduation; Phase 2 for one summer left. Programs run 10–11 weeks with optional hybrid work depending on group and schedule.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis for anyone other than a current employer or education institution.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Petroleum Engineering, or foreign equivalent.
  • Current college level: Sophomore through Senior or Graduate Student.
  • Expected graduation date: Fall 2025 through Spring/Fall 2027.
  • Available for internship starting mid to late May 2025.
  • A minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks availability for internship.

Responsibilities

  • Complete one or more engineering projects within the assigned discipline and participate in team activities.
  • Work with a technical mentor and supervisor to ensure a productive and engaging assignment.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to apply learned technical skills in real-world settings.
  • Contribute to project goals and demonstrate professional growth during the internship.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Petroleum Engineering, or foreign equivalent
