Job summary

UEC in the United States is seeking an entry-level intern in civil and environmental engineering to gain hands-on experience in water and wastewater infrastructure. You will participate in staff, public, and client meetings and assist with hydraulic modeling and simple calculations.

Responsibilities include site visits, data analysis, coordination with subconsultants and vendors, and contributing to technical reports.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in a B.S. or M.S. program in Civil and Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Strong MS Office skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with AutoCAD, ESRI GIS, and/or hydraulic modeling software is preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced team.
• Eagerness to learn and grow.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

• Currently enrolled full-time in a B.S. or M.S. program in Civil and Environmental Engineering, City and Regional Planning, BioResource & Agricultural, Construction Management, or related field.
• Good academic standing with proficiency in MS Office and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred experience with AutoCAD, ESRI (GIS), and/or hydraulic modeling software.
• Ability to perform well under deadlines and proven time management skills.
• High career aspirations and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $25.00 to $35.00, depending on experience.
