Job summary

Salas O'Brien, Inc. in Evansville, IN is seeking an Engineering Intern to contribute to real-world projects and gain hands-on experience as part of a team of professionals.

You will work with Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Architectural teams, applying CAD tools and engineering software while learning from industry leaders. Travel to project sites may be limited (up to 10%).

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Architectural or related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; eager to learn.
• CAD software experience (AutoCAD, Revit) preferred.
• Adaptable to changing project priorities and onsite work.
• Previous internship or co-op in AEC is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Enrolled in an accredited engineering program; junior level or higher.
• Contribute to real-world projects and learn from a team of engineers.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Utilize CAD tools and engineering software; assist with analyses.
• Support project tasks and adapt to onsite locations as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Architectural, Audio engineering or a related field.
• Genuine passion for the AEC industry and a desire to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledgeable in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with engineering analysis tools is beneficial.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and tasks, with a readiness to perform duties onsite or at project locations as needed.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in the AEC industry is advantageous, though not mandatory.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Candidates currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program at a junior level and above are welcome to apply.
• Passion for Engineering: Strong interest in engineering and a desire to build a successful career in the field.
