Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to gain practical experience on real projects in Lakewood, CO. You will assist with design calculations, produce construction drawings, and help prepare specifications in a team-driven environment.

Currently enrolled in Civil or Structural Engineering, you will collaborate with engineers, visit sites, and apply REVIT and engineering analysis tools. This paid internship includes a strong learning path and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil or Structural Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Genuine passion for the AEC industry and a desire to learn and contribute to meaningful projects
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in REVIT software
• Familiarity with engineering analysis tools
• Willingness to perform duties onsite or at project locations as needed. Prior internship or co-op experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Hands-on duties will include assisting with design calculations, preparing construction drawings and reports, preparing specifications, and performing on site visits to construction projects.

• Qualifications and Experience: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a study-focus GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher.
• Genuine passion for the AEC industry and a desire to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in REVIT software.
• Familiarity with engineering analysis tools.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and tasks, with a readiness to perform duties onsite or at project locations as needed.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in the AEC industry is advantageous, though not mandatory.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected hourly rate for this role is $25/hour USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
