Job summary

DrinkPAK is seeking an Engineering Intern for a 12-week on-site program at our Santa Clarita headquarters, CA. You will work with engineers and managers on a defined project plan, applying your STEM knowledge to measurable objectives and tangible deliverables.

We value analytical thinking, collaboration and a hands-on approach to optimize processes, quality and throughput in a dynamic manufacturing environment. May/June 2025 start date; $27–$32 per hour.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in STEM or Maintenance Technologies (Junior or Senior preferred).
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internships, lab work, personal/team projects).
• Able to work full time on-site for 12 consecutive weeks starting May/June 2025.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Over the course of a 12-week internship, you will execute a clearly defined project plan with measurable objectives and tangible deliverables. You will work closely with your manager, mentor, and other key stakeholders to apply your knowledge, grow your skills, and spearhead projects that have significant impact on the business.

The position is based at DrinkPAK's headquarters in Santa Clarita, California.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in STEM or Maintenance Technologies (Junior or Senior standing preferred)
• At least 3+ months of applied engineering experience (prior internships, lab experience, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
• Must be able to work full time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning May or June 2025
• Ability to work well in an integrated and collaborative team environment, including frequent interactions with technicians, engineers, managers, and business leaders
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements
• Demonstrated experience using analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for optimization
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and drawing organization

WORKING CONDITIONS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms above the head and below the waist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for 10-12 hours. Be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
