Job summary

Qualus Corporation in Farmington, UT, is seeking an Engineering Intern to support our engineering teams on real‑world projects and gain hands‑on experience. Position Overview

Power your future with Qualus in our Engineering department as an Engineering Intern! At Qualus, our Engineering Interns gain hands‑on experience by supporting our engineering teams on real‑world projects. Interns assist in preparing electrical design packages, developing drawings using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and learning the quality control (QC) process alongside senior engineers. They also provide project documentation support and contribute to general office tasks, all while building valuable technical and professional skills.

This internship is designed to give students the opportunity to apply their coursework in a professional setting, explore career paths in engineering, and learn directly from experienced mentors.

Full-time or part-time flexibility available; all interns must be in-office at a Qualus office location.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit drawings usingAutoCADand/orMicroStation.
• Learn and assist with quality checks (QC) on electrical drawings under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support project documentation and general office tasks.
• Apply company processes, procedures, and client standards in project work.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and gain exposure to a variety of project phases.
• Provide administrative support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Full time student in an ABET-accredited program pursuing BS/BE degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to utility infrastructure, power systems, transmission and distribution (T&D), substations, renewable energy, or grid modernization through coursework or practical experience.
• Proficiency with engineering software, CAD platforms, GIS applications, or data analysis tools commonly used in engineering environments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills with the ability to adapt in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.
