Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an Engineering Intern for a twelve-week summer program in Midland, TX, beginning May 2027. You must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.

The internship focuses on familiarizing interns with the assets in Energy Transfer's energy portfolio and gaining experience in air quality and regulatory compliance for natural gas pipelines and facilities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring engineering disciplines include Chemical or Mechanical, at a minimum completion of sophomore level engineering courses.
• General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement in activities outside college studies.
• Above average GPA

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with energy portfolio assets and gain experience in air quality and regulatory compliance for natural gas pipelines and facilities.
• Assist with review of current federal, state and local environmental laws impacting facilities, and interact with operations and engineering staff.
• Support field visits to facilities in the West Texas region.

Education

Undergraduate student in Chemical or Mechanical engineering

Sophomore level coursework completed

Strong written and verbal communication skills
