Job summary

StandardAero in Dallas, TX is offering a Metallurgical Engineering Intern position to gain hands-on lab experience within our engineering team. You will assist with metallurgical lab analysis, participate in chemical sampling, and complete projects related to the engineering group.

The 10-12 week paid internship is part-time and onsite at the Dallas-Fort Worth location. Applicants must be local to Dallas/Fort Worth and pursuing a Bachelor's or higher in Chemistry, Metallurgy, or a related field,

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Metallurgy or related laboratory field.
• Strong attention to detail, with interest in process improvement.
• Ability to work independently, multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines.
• Internship is located in Dallas, TX; local to Dallas/Fort Worth and available 1-2 days per week.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist metallurgical lab analysis of samples for plasma application process.
• Conduct chemical analysis sampling in support of Clean Shop chemical tanks.
• Complete assigned projects related to the Engineering group/discipline.
• May perform engineering calculations, analyses, development of drawings and specifications, and on-site client support

As a Metallurgical Engineering Intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence.Over the course of your internship, you will have the opportunity to: Determine and document the modification status/configuration of products being processed for repair or overhaul to verify compliance to the applicable regulatory and process requirements.

This is a 10-12-week, paid internship on a part-time basis working onsite at the Dallas-Fort Worth location.

Position Requirements:

• Seeking students for internship who are pursuing their Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Metallurgy or related laboratory field of study.
• Strong attention to detail, with interest in process improvement
• Ability to work independently multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities in order to meet deadlines
• Internship is located in Dallas, TX; *students must be local to Dallas/Fort Worth, TX and available to work 1-2 days per week immediately
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
