Job summary

Novanta Corporation's ATI Industrial Automation unit seeks a student-intern to design, build, and debug mechanical test hardware for product verification. You will write testing reports, develop test plans, and collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams.

Qualified candidates should have a GPA of 3.5+ and be able to use standard measurement tools; SolidWorks is preferred and GD&T knowledge is a plus. U.S. citizenship or green card is required for ITAR.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to use standard measurement/test equipment.
• Comfort with using basic hand tools.
• GPA 3.5+ required.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks preferred.
• GD&T drawing practices helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and debug test hardware used in Mechanical verification testing.
• Develop Mechanical test plans for product verification and qualification of characteristics.
• Write reports documenting testing results.
• Propose and/or implement design changes to existing product.
• Evaluate nonconformance on components and/or assemblies.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Applications Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing.
