Job summary

IQT seeks interns for its Rapid Prototyping Group in the US. The role involves hands-on work across hardware, software and AI, with a rapid prototyping approach to projects addressing national-interest challenges.

Interns join a multidisciplinary team and work on real-world problems, with projects spanning design, development, testing and assessment. Applications reviewed starting November, hybrid in office and remote.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required due to contractual reasons.
• Rising seniors or graduate students pursuing a STEM Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Self-starter, proactive, enthusiastic, curious and adaptable.
• Detail‑oriented with ability to work independently.
• Love of solving problems in hardware, software and DIY spaces.
• Ability to communicate results verbally, visually and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Projects will be identified in spring 2026, typically at the intersection of hardware, software and AI.
• Examples include Maritime Autonomy with open‑source autopilots to assess state-of-the-art in open-source.
• Data collection and analysis: building hardware/software systems to capture images for labeling and training ML models.
