Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an engineering intern in Eden, NC to collaborate with engineering teams on new product development, process improvement, and testing. You will assist with BOM comparisons, drawings reviews, and first article inspections, gaining exposure to mechanical engineering in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be pursuing an engineering degree, be detail-oriented, and eager to learn across multiple projects in a hands-on internship setting.

Qualifications

• At least junior level in a bachelor’s program majoring in an Engineering field
• 3.0/4.0 GPA or better
• Strong interest in the fields of mechanical engineering aligned to product, manufacturing or sustaining engineering
• Comfortable working in a variety of environments such as lab or manufacturing environment with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads, and goals

Responsibilities

• Assist with projects such as new product development, process improvement and testing
• First article inspection, BOM comparisons, drawings and parts reviews
• Support Engineering teams and learn best practices for documentation and communication
