Job summary

AJM Packaging Corporation in Vineland, NJ is seeking an Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The internship offers exposure to engineering and maintenance operations while working closely with machine processes and improvement projects.

The role is on-site at our Vineland facility, with responsibilities spanning shadowing, project work, and hands-on tasks across production, maintenance, and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an accredited University.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where at times you will be on your feet most of the day in the facility that is not a fully climate-controlled environment.
• Available to travel to Michigan twice for 2-3 days for each the opening & closing presentations of internship.

Responsibilities

• In a direct, hands-on capacity, learn, perform and understand all functions involved in the engineering & maintenance management operation of a manufacturing facility.
• Participate in a hands on, project-based program to gain experience and knowledge of our machines as well as the supporting programs in maintaining them.
• Participation will require everything from shadowing other employees to working specific jobs that can range production line work, to machine maintenance to scheduling and more.
• Working directly with machinery and process improvement.
• Take ownership of special projects, as directed by the onsite maintenance manager and plant manager.
