Caterpillar Inc. is offering a Corporate Engineering Intern program in Peoria, IL. This 12-week, 40-hour-per-week internship provides hands-on engineering experience alongside professionals, with opportunities across design, simulation, testing, and control development.

You will deepen business skills, present results, and network with management to learn about Caterpillar areas outside your team.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in a 4-year ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Must have completed at least 24 semester hours before start.
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA at time of application (no rounding).
• Must relocate to Peoria, IL area for the internship duration.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Join a team with diverse project responsibilities and network with Caterpillar staff.
• Engage in engineering project work and present results to teams.
• Develop technical skills in design, simulation, and testing.
• Assist with MATLAB/Simulink control development for systems.
• Support data analytics and process improvements in projects.
