Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. in Lawton, OK offers an Engineering Intern position within the natural gas engineering team.

The role supports design engineers and drafters on capital construction projects and contributes to modernization of the gas distribution system. You will assist with construction documents, hydraulic analyses, and field reviews while maintaining records, databases, and engineering documentation.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an ABET-accredited BS in Engineering.
Strong GPA preferred.
Experience with CAD/Modeling/GIS software and training willingness.

Responsibilities

Assist design engineers and drafters with construction document deliverables for natural gas system projects.
Assist with hydraulic analysis studies using company Gas Modeling Software (in-house training provided).
Perform occasional field work to review construction for policy compliance with company standards.
Record keeping for installation and monitoring of gas systems, including pipeline inspections and easements; coordinate with GIS.
Research historical installation and repair documentation on existing facilities.
Update Access databases and Excel spreadsheets regarding project status.
