Job summary

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. invites highly motivated engineering students to join its 12-week Summer Internship starting May 2027.

You must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with expected graduation Fall 2027 or Spring 2028 to be eligible. The internship will expose you to terminal engineering, operations, maintenance, and project management activities across natural gas liquids processing, storage, and related facilities.

Qualifications

• Undergrad or grad student in Civil or Mechanical Eng (Petroleum acceptable).
• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with assets in Energy Transfer's energy portfolio including gas/liquids operations.
• Assist with process simulation, system modeling, and data collection for gas and fluid handling.
• Support pipe and vessel sizing calculations, equipment function checks, and maintenance planning.
• Assist day-to-day field operations related to pipeline, storage, and terminal systems.
