Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2 years of experience in the engineering field, or Master’s degree in Engineering with one year experience in the engineering field.
• Must hold an intern registration in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Operates computers and runs reports or calculations.
• Designs portions of a project under supervision of an experienced professional.
• Researches catalogs for commercially available equipment to avoid expense of original design.
• Specifies equipment based on catalog searches.
• Researches code requirements in out-of-town project sites.
• Prepares draft reports and draft permit applications.
• May prepare drawings of designs originated by the intern.
• Performs work involving standard principles and techniques with precedents.
• May be responsible for phases of a single project or small-scale projects.
• May occasionally serve as project manager.
