Job summary

igus Bearings, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Intern in Rumford, RI to support engineering data migration, CAD documentation, and product lifecycle processes. You will work with experienced engineers in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and help update drawings and BOM data.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a technical degree and has strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen interest in engineering documentation and development projects.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering data migration between legacy and current systems.
• Review and transfer engineering data, drawings, part files, and documentation.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in engineering databases and document repositories.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to verify migrated information.
• Update drawings and documentation using CAD software.
• Revise drawings to reflect ECRs and ECOs.
• Verify BOMs, dimensions, tolerances, and revision histories.
• Assist in product development, documentation, and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain bills of materials and part master data.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and project reviews.
