Kids for the Future is seeking an Engineering/Manufacturing Intern in Sparks, NV to support project engineering with new product development, product updates and cost-out initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and exposure to a formal project process.
You will work with engineers to plan and execute development activities, assist with ECNs, and report progress to project leads.

Strong CAD skills with proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD or DraftSight (preferred). Competence is Microsoft Office is required. Understanding of PDM, FEA, and inventory management software is a plus.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in a University or Community College. Preferably working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of one year of college in Mechanical Engineering degree program, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
The ability to read, analyze and interpret technical manuals and procedures. Ability to write business correspondence and procedures.
Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
Ability to apply common sense thinking to a wide range of practical problems. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in verbal, written or diagram form.
