Job summary

Pennoni, a multidisciplinary engineering firm based in Princeton, NJ, is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist on multi-discipline designs for land development projects. The role supports Staff and Project Engineers in planning, preliminary design, and construction documentation from our Princeton office.

Qualified candidates are enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering programs and may have exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, MS Office, and Adobe PDF.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant Engineering-oriented field at an ABET-accredited institution.
• Preferred exposure to CAD/engineering software tools and standard office apps.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineers in preparing land development plans for public & private clients.
• Contribute to site plans including site grading, stormwater management, and utility design for proposed projects.
• Assist with preparation of permit applications & reports.
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team under supervision of a Senior Professional Engineer.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Pennoni is currently seeking an Engineering Intern to assist on multi-discipline designs for public & private site development projects while based at our office in Princeton, NJ. This position will primarily support Staff and Project-level Engineers in all aspects of projects (including conceptual/planning, preliminary design, detailed development, construction documentation, permitting documents, and engineering reports) .

JobResponsibilities:

• Assist Project Engineers in the preparation of land development plans for public & private clients.
• Contribute to the preparation of site plans; this includes site grading, stormwater management [SWM], and utility design for proposed landdevelopment projects.
• Assist with the preparation of permit applications & reports.
• Work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team environment under the supervision of a Senior Professional Engineer.
• Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.

Basic Requirement:

In order to qualify, we need you to be enrolled in a relevant Engineering-oriented field of study (e.g.: Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, etc.) at an ABET-accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to relevant CADD & Engineering software tools (e.g.: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, etc.).
• This person will also be expected to utilize basic office software tools: MS-Office 365 (e.g.: Outlook, Excel, and Word) as well as Adobe PDF applications.
• Exposure to land development, water resources engineering, and/or stormwater management design projects is a plus!
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
