Oerlikon Internship in Plymouth, MI offers hands-on exposure to vacuum/inert induction melting, gas atomization and powder downstream processing. You will produce AutoCAD renderings, update plant layouts, and compile instrumentation data while delivering a small process-improvement proposal to staff.
You will work with mechanical engineering concepts, thermodynamics, and additive manufacturing knowledge, and gain cross-functional teamwork experience in a global materials company.
We are looking for an Engineering Intern for our Plymouth, MI facility. In this role you will gain an introduction to vacuum/inert induction melting, gas atomization & powder downstream processing. The Intern’s direct role will be to create Oerlikon AutoCAD renderings of various components, updating plant layout drawings, and compiling information concerning critical process measuring devices. The intern will also complete one reasonably sized process improvement proposal & present it to key staff members to the conclusion of his/her internship period.
