Pinnacle is seeking an Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week program in Pasadena, TX. You will engage in technical training and work on an engineering project across reliability data gathering, organizing, analyzing, and strategizing.

• Completed a minimum of three years at an accredited university in any Engineering program
• Academic success in field of study
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive Reliability programs, including RBI
• Mechanical integrity program development
• Inspection program development and data gathering
• Extract and verify technical data from P&IDs, drawings and code forms
• Generate risk profiles for operating facilities
• Participate in Asset Optimization studies using PFDs and isometrics
• Deliver a final presentation summarizing learnings and outcomes

Join us as an Engineering Intern and participate in a 10-12 week program consisting of technical training and work on an engineering project across multiple areas of reliability data gathering, organizing, analyzing, and strategizing. Pinnacle’s internship includes an opportunity to learn the energy industry, individual and group presentations, Lunch & Learns, and networking opportunities. Job Duties (you may or may not be doing all duties while in the program)

• Develop and implement comprehensive Reliability programs, including:
• Risk Based Inspection (RBI)
• Mechanical integrity programs
• Inspection program development
• Facility or equipment condition assessment
• Application of API codes and technical standards (API 510, 570, 571, 574, 580, and 581)
• Work independently to complete project deliverables and tasks such as organizing and verifying technical data using applicable software (data examples may include piping materials, dimensions, pressure, and temperature captured through documents such as Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, engineering drawings and code forms)
• Extract and verify technical data (metallurgy, temperatures, pressures, thicknesses, etc.) from documents such as Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), engineering construction drawings, and code forms
• Generate risk profiles for entire operating facilities
• Participate in Asset Optimization studies using primary data sources such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), heat and material balance, P&IDs, and isometrics provided by the client for fixed equipment and piping systems
• Utilize multiple software solutions to maximize the effectiveness of our services
• Deliver a final presentation to share all you have learned and accomplished during your time at Pinnacle
• Demonstrate effective time management skills to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
• Achieve, maintain, and accurately report performance metrics
• Recognize inefficiencies and facilitate innovation that results in significant improvements
