Job summary

Nucor Insulated Panel Group LLC in Lewisville, TX invites an Engineer Summer Internship to gain hands-on experience supporting a full-time design engineer. You will contribute to a variety of production-related projects within our Engineering Department.

You will learn to analyze cladding for wind, snow, and live loads, and participate in training for our proprietary engineering software to carry out precise design tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• Strong verbal and written English communication is essential.

Basic Job Functions

• Hands-on Learning: Acquire invaluable experience supporting the role of a full-time design engineerwhile actively contributing to a variety of production-related projects within our Engineering Department.


• Cladding Analysis: Learn to analyze cladding for wind, snow, and live loads.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School or General Equivalency Diploma


• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET accreditedschool.


• Effective with the English language using both verbal and written skills


• Proficient in verbal and writtencommunication in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Training or experience with statics, structural analysis, steel design


• Degree emphasis in Structures


• Leadership experience within clubs or organizations


• Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of thejob with or without a reasonable accommodation.
