Beech-Nut Nutrition Company in Amsterdam, NY is offering a Summer 2027 Engineering Internship (10–12 weeks, paid) to current full-time students pursuing an engineering degree. The role provides real-world experience, with roundtable discussions, corporate meetings, networking events and cross‑department interactions to acquire relevant skills.
Projects will apply classroom knowledge to improvements in an industrial setting, with potential for full-time employment after graduation.
Qualifications
- Must be registered as a current full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in related field (ex. Packaging Science, Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering).
- Applicant must be authorized to work in the US for the entire duration of the internship.
- Prefer at least 3rd year of study has been completed.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Above average skills, especially in Excel.
- Conceptual and practical experience with Lean principles a plus.
- SAP program experience.
- AutoCAD experience.

The Engineering Team is comprised of technical individuals from various engineering disciplines who work collaboratively to support Beech-Nut Nutrition’s LEED® certified production facility. The team’s core mission is to achieve Reliability Excellence by implementing efficient and effective engineering, maintenance, and operational practices that maximize capacity and productivity. The team works closely with the Supply Chain, Operations and Maintenance Teams to increase reliability processes so we can continue doing what we do best – making high quality, safe, and nutritious foods for babies and toddlers!
This position is located at the Amsterdam, New York LEED® certified production facility. Most job functions are performed in a well-lit, environmentally controlled office environment. The candidate will also be required to work in an environment that requires hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection and lab coat. Restrictions include wearing of jewelry, nail polish and acrylic nails. Other personal protection equipment may be required for certain tasks.

Rate of Pay: $16.50 per hour and pay is bi-weekly.
