General Motors is seeking an Engineering Process Center of Excellence Group Manager (EGM) to lead a team of process owners and SMEs. You will develop, deploy, and maintain processes and standards aligned to GM’s safety principles and enterprise strategy.
You will guide cross-functional change across global teams, drive efficiency, remove roadblocks, and ensure training and succession planning for staff. A hybrid work model is expected, with regular collaboration across GM units.

Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies.
The Engineering Process Center of Excellence (CoE) Engineering Group Manager (EGM) leads, coaches, and develops a team of engineering process owners and subject matter experts. This role is accountable for the development, deployment, and maintenance of processes, standards, and operational plans that support the organization’s business strategies and have a direct impact on enterprise results. The Process CoE EGM ensures alignment to GM’s Global Product Safety Principles and drives consistency across engineering business processes. The Engineering Process CoE team is transforming to provide strategic, cross‑functional alignment across all GM business units that influence engineering processes. This leader will proactively identify and execute opportunities to streamline the enterprise, reduce complexity, and drive toward the most efficient, common solutions. They will influence stakeholders across the enterprise to adopt new concepts, practices, and approaches, identifying issues and updating or improving complex work methods while promoting GM’s values.

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week {or other frequency dictated by their manager}. This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate. This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review.
