Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc invites candidates to join its TL Future Force Early Talent Development Program for Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Design Engineering in Hampton, NJ. The program offers year‑long rotations across engineering, product management, and technical services, with mentorship, workshops, and project‑based learning to accelerate early career growth.

Successful candidates will have BS/BA in relevant engineering fields, strong GPA, and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, and power electronics fundamentals.
• Ability to read schematics and use common lab equipment (oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies).
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
• Clear communication and solid technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout using industry‑standard tools.
• Perform bench testing, measurement, and debugging of electronic circuits under supervision.
• Support development of embedded control systems, including microcontroller‑based designs.
• Build and execute test plans for prototypes, components, and subsystems.
• Document test results, design changes, and engineering observations clearly and accurately.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including mechanical engineering, firmware, and manufacturing.
