Engineering Field Technicians, Chantilly, VA

Stevenson Consulting is a full-service engineering consulting firm operating in the Mid-Atlantic and Gulf Coast region of the US since 1984. Our continually expanding client base gives us an opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in various industries. We are seeking full-time Engineering Field Technicians to join our Chantilly, VA team.

Responsibilities:

  • Observing and testing soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry & asphalt according to applicable standards
  • Preparing accurate field reports and assisting with laboratory testing
  • Daily interaction with team members and various project stakeholders
  • Obtaining necessary certifications and training
  • Other related tasks, as assigned by supervisor

Experience, Skills & Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in construction environment
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Well-organized and reliable individual
  • Ability to work off-shift hours, including some weekends
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving history
  • Good written and oral communication
  • Ability to periodically lift and carry 50 pounds of weight and stand for long periods of time
  • Current WACEL and/or ACI certifications preferred
