Job summary

The Walsh Group invites motivated interns to join our New Mexico Region, gaining hands-on experience in project engineering and field management on real projects. This program offers exposure across our estimating, preconstruction, and operational divisions, with potential to transition to a full-time role after graduation.

Interns will work on-site, supporting coordination, documentation, safety, and team meetings while learning from experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Seeking a bachelor’s degree is preferred
• The ability to work a 12-week work schedule is preferred
• Specific roles may require relocation

Responsibilities

• Assisting project manager or field supervision staff with project coordination
• Estimating cost for change orders
• Soliciting bidders and coordinate subcontractor activity
• Scheduling of various contracts and materials
• Document control
• Coordination of subcontractors
• Safety management
• Participation in team meetings
• Writing RFIs, submittals, and assisting in change orders

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred
