Job summary

Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC is seeking a qualified individual to teach and mentor students in engineering. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in engineering, preferably Civil Engineering, and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in engineering with expertise in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Master's Degree is required; PhD and/or P.E. certification preferred.
• College classroom teaching experience is preferred.

• Willingness to attend the BJU Summer Institute in Teaching Science.
• Desire to create a "natural critical learning environment" for students in and out of the classroom.
• Commitment to a biblically consistent view of science as articulated in the BJU Division of Natural Science philosophy statement.
• Professional in appearance and presentation.
• Exemplify a biblical role model for students and colleagues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduate degree in engineering with expertise in Civil Engineering, or a closely related field that aligns with our current concentrations.
• Master's Degree required. PhD and/or P.E. certification is preferred.
• College classroom teaching experience preferred

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Microsoft Office

• CAD (Solidworks, AutoCAD, Revit)
• EDA software (MultiSim, LabVIEW)

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:

• EIT or P.E. certification desired, but not required
