Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide student instruction from a biblical worldview for high school courses in the Science department, advise students and parents concerning academic matters, and perform service duties as needed within the school.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

Key Results Area #1 - Develop quality instruction to enhance student learning

• Teach assigned courses
• Perform extCra-curricular functions (e.g. coaching, student organization sponsors, etc.)
• Disciple students through relationship building
• Model effective oral and written communication

Key Results Area #2 - Support the mission of BJA

• Participate in activities related to the school (e.g. grade-level assemblies, school spirit activities)
• Maintain student academic grades and attendance
• Attend chapel and BJA faculty meetings
• Communicate the religious beliefs of BJA to students and student affiliates
• Answer questions concerning BJA’s statement of faith and biblical position to parents, students, or those inquiring about BJA
• Maintain professional appearance and presentation

• Communicate expectations consistently with parents
• Communicate grades on a timely basis through the Student Management System
• Resolve parental concerns in a timely and gracious manner
