Job summary

First Roles is seeking an Engineering Draughtsman to support the design-to-production workflow in Roselle, IL. You will prepare and maintain engineering drawings and specifications, collaborating with manufacturing teams to address technical challenges and drive continuous improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering degree with a strong GPA and experience with CAD software, design reviews, and product development support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Experience using CAD/design software and standard business applications.
• Exposure to product design, manufacturing environments, and engineering best practices.
• Understanding of fabrication, machining, or other industrial production processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with simulation, modeling, and design validation tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation to support the design-to-production process.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address technical challenges and drive continuous improvements.
• Evaluate designs using engineering software and analytical tools to support product development.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, drawings, and related documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders and assist with design reviews.
