Job summary

Patterson-UTI is seeking an Engineering Documentation & Materials Coordinator to lead engineering documentation, MTOs, BOMs, databooks, and material planning for fabrication and rig construction projects.

You will supervise the shop Inventory Coordinator and Buyer, coordinate with engineering, procurement, and field teams, and ensure documents and materials are complete, accurate, and accessible throughout project execution. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in engineering, fabrication, materials management, procurement, or project execution.
• 2+ years in supervisory or project leadership role.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience with inventory management, purchasing, procurement, material coordination, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience coordinating engineering documentation, databooks, turnover packages, or project records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and organization of project databooks and turnover documentation.
• Manage drawing updates and revision control, ensuring current drawings are used by all teams.
• Own development and accuracy of material take-offs (MTOs) and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Lead material planning and project inventory coordination to support schedules.
• Direct procurement coordination and ensure timely material procurement.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of project records within company systems.
• Develop and implement standardized engineering documentation and material processes.
