Job summary

The City of Oxnard seeks an Engineer Division Manager to lead the engineering review and inspection for land development projects. You will supervise engineers, oversee project delivery, and coordinate with developers, architects, and other City departments to ensure timely, compliant project execution.

Requires a civil engineering degree, 5+ years of relevant experience including 2+ years in supervision, and PE certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or directly related field.
• 5 years of progressively responsible engineering experience related to land development and construction.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering review for land development projects and subdivision plans.
• Supervise engineers and technical staff, including evaluations and training.
• Coordinate with City staff, developers, consultants and outside agencies.
• Prepare budgets, contracts, and fee reconciliations; review change orders.
• Provide technical guidance, public presentations, and adherence to city standards.
