Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and licensed PE in Virginia.
• Minimum of eight years of civil land development experience.
• Experience managing staff, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Engineering Department.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop engineers, designers, CAD technicians, and support staff.
• Manage staffing plans, workload distribution, resource allocation, and project assignments.
• Foster a culture of accountability, quality, responsiveness, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support employee development, training, performance management, succession planning, and retention initiatives.
• Monitor departmental productivity, utilization, project status, and key performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, documentation requirements, and administrative processes.
