Job summary

The County of Marin is seeking an Engineering Division Manager (Principal Civil Engineer) to lead the Engineering Division within the Department of Public Works. The role oversees up to 17 staff and drives a large Capital Improvement Program across roads, bridges, multimodal facilities, and pavement management, within the County right‑of‑way.

• Strong expertise in civil engineering, capital project delivery, plan and specification review.
• Experience overseeing consultant or contract oversight activities.
• Proven leadership of multifunction teams and cross‑agency collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering Division within the Department of Public Works.
• Oversee a team and guide CIP-driven project delivery across roads and bridges.
• Ensure project plans and specifications are thoroughly reviewed and compliant.
