Job summary

PradeepIT is seeking a senior engineering leader to guide multiple teams of 10–15 engineers, shaping architectural decisions and delivery strategy for scalable products. You will work with Engineering Managers to craft technical designs and drive best practices across the software development lifecycle.

You will mentor front-line managers, influence executives, and champion engineering excellence while maintaining delivery on time and quality in a remote, globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience at a startup.
• 10 years of software development experience with 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with microservices-based architecture.
• Experience building and running distributed systems for 24x7 online services at scale.
• Deep understanding of relational systems and complex data structures.
• Strong design, data structures, algorithms knowledge and complexity analysis.
• Experience defining and executing professional software engineering best practices across the SDLC.
• Strong analytical, quantitative skills and data-driven decision-making.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop front-line managers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop engineers and managers across the organization.

• Lead multiple teams of 10-15 top-notch engineers to own, drive and deliver critical parts of our products.
• Work closely with Engineering Managers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of expertise with highly transactional, large relational, and complex systems.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
• Experience in defining and executing professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, and recommendations, and drive actions.
• Strengths in problem-solving, issue resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
