Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead a team delivering web and mobile apps, driving technical delivery in an Azure-based setup, and partnering with Product. You will oversee onshore/offshore engineers, shape product direction, and ensure scalable engineering practices with strong Agile execution.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in senior engineering leadership, deep Python/Django, React, and cloud experience, plus excellent cross-functional communication and a track record

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managing engineering teams at a Senior Manager or Director level.
• Experience leading offshore engineering resources and cross-functional Agile teams.
• Strong expertise in application development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead software delivery in Python/Django and modern frontend tech in React
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across engineering and product. Experience within retail industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of onshore/offshore application engineers; diagnose bottlenecks and remove delivery obstacles.
• Oversee end-to-end software delivery across web and mobile applications built with Python, Django, React, and Azure services.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to define requirements, shape product direction, and provide high-level engineering estimates.
• Ensure strong Agile execution, engineering best practices, and high-quality release cycles.
• Maintain and enforce technical documentation standards and contribute to continuous improvement practices.
• Identify and resolve complex development challenges across backend, frontend, and cloud components.
