Job summary

Ovative Group is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the Data Products and BI & Reporting teams. You will oversee engineering standards, governance, and a high-performing culture while collaborating with Product, Data Science, and stakeholders to drive the EMRge platform forward.

The role requires 10+ years of leadership, strong DevOps maturity, and a track record of delivering reliable software at scale. This position sits within our MSP footprint with opportunities for travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering leadership experience with direct management of managers.
• Build and run engineering operating systems: SDLC ownership, DevOps maturity, governance, metrics.
• Proven ability to develop high-performing teams through coaching and culture-building.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with senior product and business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Define and improve development standards and governance across product teams.
• Own the quality framework: reviews, testing, release gates, debt management.
• Drive security, SOC2 alignment and data governance within engineering.
• Lead DevOps infrastructure and toolchain to improve developer productivity.
• Deliver sprint planning, capacity management, and delivery forecasting with Engineering Managers.
• Provide delivery forecasts and remove blockers across teams.
• Mentor Engineering Managers and Lead Engineers on performance and growth.
• Elevate Ovative’s engineering brand through internal programs and external engagement.
