Salary Range $26.00 - $28.00 Hourly Job Shift 1st Shift

Job Summary:

This position is for the "Engineering Development Technician" with capabilities of performing experimentation, product assembly, and possessing skills such as fitting/fabrication of ducting assemblies and sub-assemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Apply experience to perform product assembly respecting aircraft standards, Arrowhead, and/or customer specifications.
• Collaborate with production to reconfigure fixtures, tools, and shop aids, and develop build plans to streamline metal assembly processes.
• Perform fitting and fabrication per engineering specifications.
• Develop fabrication techniques for ducting assemblies and subassemblies from engineering specifications and determine manufacturing sequences.
• Work with Development Lab supervision and personnel to achieve labor-efficient standards compliant with engineering requirements.
• Assist engineering staff in developing work instructions and shop aids.
• Demonstrate knowledge of heat effects on products for weld operations.
• Understand metal classes necessary for parts to meet engineering requirements.
• Operate equipment related to assembly development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, FOD-free work area and adhere to safety standards.
• Provide training to Arrowhead personnel and production employees.
• Perform other duties related to metal fabrication and lab maintenance.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience may substitute education.
• Minimum 10 years of sheet metal fabrication and/or manufacturing experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to train others.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn welding, including tack welding.
