Job summary

California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo is seeking an Assistant Dean of Development for the College of Engineering to lead the college-wide development program, cultivate major gifts, and coordinate donor relations. The role reports to the Dean with dotted line to the AVP of Development.

The position oversees development planning, campaigns, and collaboration with central advancement units, while managing volunteers and development processes within the college.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with ten years of progressive development experience.
• Ten years in development with four years direct fundraising experience.
• Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a personal portfolio of prospective annual and major gift prospects/donors.
• Plan and implement strategies for leadership annual gifts, major gifts, and principal gifts.
• Prepare annual development plans with the Dean and Associate Vice President of Development; manage college metrics and goals.
• Develop gift proposals and gift agreements; oversee gift processing, recording and acknowledgement.
• Collaborate with central University Development partners on campaigns for solicitations.
