McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Designer to join our BEI Group in Orlando.

You will contribute to mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design projects across institutional, commercial, and industrial facilities, delivering drawings and specs as part of a multi-discipline team. Responsibilities include producing design/construction drawings, staying on schedule and budget, and collaborating with the Group Manager, Project Manager, and senior engineers to complete

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of mechanical engineering design experience (including Revit).
• Vocational certificate or two-year degree in Engineering or related field.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Able to climb ladders and perform field surveys.

Description

OVERVIEW:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Designer to join our Building, Energy and Infrastructure (BEI) Group in our office in Orlando. In this role, you will provide technical and design services in support of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities.

DURING YOUR WORK DAY, YOU WILL:

• Provides technical and design services in support of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team.
• Produce mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities.
• Complete design tasks within budget and on schedule; communicating with Group Manager, Project Manager, Sr. Mechanical Engineer and design team to complete work efficiently.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Must have at least 2+ years of similar work experience (including Revit experience). Vocational certificate or two year degree in Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of mechanical engineering design experience.
• Good technical and communication skills required.
• Methodical, precise and consistent but enjoys some variety in work schedule and can tolerate change.
• Enjoys working alone when required but can work effectively on a project team.
• Must be able to climb ladders and perform field survey duties.
• Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT:

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Experience with healthcare work is preferred but not required.
• Passed your FE Exam and have obtained your E.I.T is preferred.
