Job summary

Daikin Applied in Staunton, VA, is looking for a Designer II to create engineering documentation, including SolidWorks modeling and production drawings, and to develop or modify product designs from conception to manufacturing documentation.

The role requires ASME Y14.5 drafting standards knowledge, sheet metal design experience, and collaboration with Marketing/Sales to meet production schedules. On-site Staunton location with up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Tech Degree in Design/Drafting or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of related design work.
• Understanding of ASME Y14.5 design and drafting standards.
• Experience with sheet metal design or HVAC products.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering documentation, including SolidWorks modeling and drawings.
• Translate engineering intent into manufacturing documentation.

Join the world's largest HVAC company!Designer II’s will use computer-based tools to design parts and assemblies, create production drawings, and manage a parts list.
