Our client is seeking an Engineering Designer for a 6-month contract in Cary, NC 27511.

Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the US now and in the future.

Our client is an American real estate investment trust specializing in wireless and broadcast communications infrastructure across the US. They aim to build a more connected world by providing solutions from towers to data centers to meet network demands.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an Associate degree plus 1 year of relevant experience in construction, engineering, or telecommunications; or steel design/fabrication detailing experience in CAD for the Steel Design team.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to produce accurate construction drawings and site plans.
• Proficient with AutoCAD 2017 or higher, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Basic knowledge of structural components, construction, and engineering concepts.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and levels.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Advanced Steel, Civil 3D, Inventor, InfraWorks, or other BIM software is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate AutoCAD, adhering to national and internal standards, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with design team members and engineers on projects.
• Maintain and update CAD drawings with necessary modifications.
• Utilize surveys and other data sources to ensure accuracy and optimal equipment placement.
• Coordinate with team members and vendors to incorporate equipment into construction documents.
• Create detailed designs for projects involving steel, electrical, and civil engineering.
• Perform peer reviews and revise drawings as instructed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
