Douglas Dynamics in Rockland, Maine, is seeking an Engineering Designer – Electrical to provide functional support to the Vehicle Integrations team. The role involves assisting in the design and validation of electrical systems, producing CAD drawings, and improving component function.

Provide technical and functional support to the Vehicle Integrations team relating to vehicle installed and NPD harnessing while adhering to safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
Education and/or Experience: Familiarity with 12V DC electrical systems and common electrical components. Experience working on vehicle electrical systems and general vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. 2D CAD skills are desirable but on‑job training is available.
Language Skills: Able to read and interpret drawings, schematics, electrical and mechanical blueprints, technical bulletins and procedures, or government regulations. Able to write operations and procedure manuals, and to effectively communicate with other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Able to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Other Skills and Responsibilities: Knowledge of and able to apply computers and related software, such as spreadsheet, word processing, CAD (DraftSight or AutoCAD), etc., to the solution of engineering problems.
