McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Designer to join our Water/Wastewater team in Wilmington, NC, to provide technical and design services as part of a project team.

Responsibilities include design computations, drawings, specifications, and bid documents; coordinating with PM and team; ensuring work stays on schedule; staying updated with design standards. The Engineering Designer will join our Water/Wastewater team in our Wilmington, NC office location to provide technical and design services in support of projects as part of a project team.

DURING YOUR WORKDAY, YOU WILL:

• Provide technical and design services in support of projects as part of a project team.
• Conduct technical evaluations projects.
• Prepare design computations and assessments.
• Produce design/construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents.
• Report directly to their Project Manager.
• Responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.
• Communicate and coordinate technical evaluations and designs, technical writing of reports and correspondence with Project Manager and design team to complete work efficiently.
• Stay current with Local, State & Federal Design Standards and Regulations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Masters or Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering
• Process-oriented individual with strong organization and technical skills.
• Able to complete work consistently with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by PM's.
• Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
