Position: Senior Software Engineer at LightBox, Shelton, Connecticut.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with an agile team to develop software solutions for our data platform supporting large-scale data products.
• Engage with cross-organizational teams on Data Ingestion Services and Data Engineering to develop consistent services and solutions.
• Handle complex spatial and relational data processing to build multiple software products, troubleshooting issues and performing root cause analysis.
• Follow best practices in software versioning, automated testing, and dependency management.
• Contribute to the company's technology strategy and architecture as part of the leadership team.
• This is a 100% remote position, with the option to work from home.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5+ years of experience, or Master's degree plus 3+ years.
• At least 3 years of experience with AWS services (e.g., CloudFront, EC2, Lambda, S3, etc.).
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (Java, Scala, or Python).
• Experience designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance, scalable services capable of handling millions of transactions.
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining APIs, microservices, and system components with Java, RDBMS, and NoSQL databases.
• Data engineering experience, including analytics tools and insights extraction from large data sets, with familiarity with Tableau or PowerBI.
