Job summary

The Illinois Tollway is hiring a Contract Payment Expediter to support timely payments to consultants, contractors and outside agencies. The role reports to the Expediter Supervisor within Engineering and collaborates with Compliance and Finance to resolve payment deficiencies.

Essential duties include reviewing consultant rate forms and change orders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring prompt processing of invoices using e-Builder, CentralSys, and BidBuy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of experience in payment expediting or related field.
• Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Access.

Responsibilities

• Expedite review and payment of professional invoices and pay estimates.
• Process related forms: consultant rate forms and change orders.
• Ensure documentation meets billing requirements and resolves issues promptly.
• Review consultant reallocations and transfer requests in detail.
• Document payment issues and monitor resolutions in PM software.
• Input and track pay items in CentralSys and BidBuy systems.
