Engineering Consulting Professional - II

America Networks is a leading sensor and networking solutions partner for companies in the Industrial, Manufacturing, and Waste management sectors.
We design and manufacture sensors for storage tanks, water metering, energy metering, gas monitoring, and asset management.

Our founders are experienced telecommunications engineers with over 200 years of combined expertise in designing, optimizing, and performance engineering for international wireless carriers. They identified the need to provide low-power, cost-efficient sensors for data collection, alerts, and predictive actions. We integrate these sensors with low power, wide area (LPWA) networking technologies to help clients reduce recurring costs associated with IoT sensor networks.

We specialize in designing, deploying, optimizing, and supporting these networks. Whether an off-the-shelf or custom solution is required, we create tailored solutions and deploy data on the most suitable cloud platform, including client-owned options.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing OEM and certification requirements for devices, including:
  • Providing secure access to internal portals
  • Understanding and managing OD requirements as they evolve
  • Clarifying requirements for OEMs
  • Driving IoT chipset-based designs
  • Meeting with OEMs to track development status
  • Developing plans to expedite processes
  • Setting up and managing device lockdowns
  • Granting approval for device testing
  • Reviewing waivers with internal labs
  • Tracking devices at third-party labs
  • Resolving issues with OEMs
  • Working with internal labs to define pass/fail criteria
  • Loading profiles and certifying devices

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field; Master’s in Marketing or Business is a plus
  • Experience reviewing marketing or technical requirements and managing device data in databases
  • Attention to detail and disciplined data tracking
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with embedded equipment architecture and design
  • Project planning and estimation skills
  • 2-4 years of experience with wireless equipment

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and experience with engineering applications in Microsoft Office
  • 5-7 years of related experience
