  • Perform searches and data validation using client platforms such as GIS, SAP, and document repositories.
  • Conduct intermediate GIS functions such as querying geodatabases, preparing maps or exhibits, and extracting data for analysis.
  • Perform quality control (QC) and final review checks for asset inventories, engineering drawings, or other engineering reviews.
  • Prepare and revise project drafts to As-Built or Completion Sets using AutoCAD or MicroStation.
  • Provide mark-ups and redlines on engineering documents in accordance with client and project specifications.
  • Assist lead engineers or CAD managers in creating construction documents, reports, and project deliverables.
  • Perform engineering design tasks and calculations under supervision of a licensed engineer or project manager.
  • Collaborate with project leads to develop training materials, process documentation, and best practice guides.
  • Maintain project tracking logs and coordination tools, including status updates, challenges, schedules, and completion milestones.
  • Engage directly with clients, as needed, to communicate findings, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on deliverables.
Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in Engineering or closely related field with 1+ year of relevant experience; OR
    • Bachelor’s degree in a non-engineering field with 3+ years of relevant engineering-related experience; OR
    • Associate’s degree or trade certificate in engineering with 5+ years of experience in related fields such as civil, mechanical, utility, GIS, mapping, surveying, construction, or estimating.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation (experience with utility assets/infrastructure a plus).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for QC and final review of asset inventories, engineering drawings, or other engineering reviews.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD or MicroStation), GIS, and/or SAP systems.
  • Familiarity with performing and documenting engineering design and calculations.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an open, team-based environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical findings to both internal staff and clients.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the time.
  • Ability to operate a computer, scanner, copier, and related office equipment on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and clients to exchange accurate project information.
