Job summary

Albemarle Corporation is seeking a Project Manager- Engineering & Construction to lead sustaining capital projects on site at Silver Peak, NV. You will drive planning, execution, and completion within safety, environmental, quality, budget, and schedule goals.

The role requires 5+ years in project management for industrial/mining/heavy infrastructure settings, with expertise in capital project planning, budgeting, and remote-site execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; or equivalent military or industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in industrial, mining, or heavy infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge and experience in capital project planning, budgeting, and execution within remote or resource-based locations.
• Strong understanding of safety standards, environmental regulations, and construction practices in mining operations.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and cost tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and completion of sustaining capital projects, ensuring alignment with safety, environmental, quality, budget, and schedule goals.
• Manage projects within a portfolio of $15-$20 million, overseeing scope development, contracting strategies, and construction activities.
• Collaborate with site operations, maintenance, and technical teams to identify project priorities and optimize scopes.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and risk registers; proactively mitigate risks to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Prepare and present project reports, forecasts, and funding requests to leadership and stakeholders.
