Job summary

Hydrite Chemical Co. is seeking a motivated Engineering Co-Op to gain practical work experience on real engineering projects. You will analyze technical aspects, assist with capital projects, and perform clerical engineering duties while adhering to Hydrite’s standards of excellence.

The position supports full-time engagement from January–August 2027 or May/June 2027–December 2027, offering hands-on learning and potential for future opportunities with Hydrite.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in accredited university pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical) is required.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint (or equivalent) is required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical analysis for projects as assigned.
• Assist in implementation of capital projects and maintenance activities.
• Perform engineering clerical-type duties as assigned.
• Investigate and implement process-related cost-saving improvements (waste, cycle-time, material costs).
• Investigate and implement process-related cycle-time and throughput improvements, aiming at capacity generation.
• Investigate energy reduction and sustainability improvement opportunities.
